An electronic book, also known as an e-book or eBook, is a book publication made available in digital form, consisting of text, images, or both, readable on the flat-panel display of computers or other electronic devices. Although sometimes defined as "an electronic version of a printed book",some e-books exist without a printed equivalent. E-books can be read on dedicated e-reader devices, but also on any computer device that features a controllable viewing screen, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones.

cpu architecture - Is this both temporal or spatial locality? - Stack - 1. I wanted to ask about spatial and temporal locality . If I am in a loop with a looping variable say i and I am traversing an array named arr [i], then when I access arr [i] then according to me it should be both temporal and spatial locality as first I would accesss i and find out what i is and then go to that index. I am doing two things here,

Learning temporal features using LSTM-CNN architecture for face anti - Temporal features is important for face anti-spoofing. Unfortunately existing methods have limitations to explore such temporal features. In this work, we propose a deep neural network architecture combining Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) units with Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). Our architecture works well for face anti-spoofing by utilizing the LSTM units' ability of finding long

Rethinking the Faster R-CNN Architecture for Temporal Action Localization - We propose TAL-Net, an improved approach to temporal action localization invideo that is inspired by the Faster R-CNN object detection framework. TAL-Netaddresses three key shortcomings of existing approaches: (1) we improvereceptive field alignment using a multi-scale architecture that can accommodateextreme variation in action durations; (2) we better exploit the temporalcontext of actions for both proposal generation and action classification byappropriately extending receptive fields; and (3) we explicitly considermulti-stream feature fusion and demonstrate that fusing motion late isimportant. We achieve state-of-the-art performance for both action proposal andlocalization on THUMOS'14 detection benchmark and competitive performance onActivityNet challenge

Butterfly-Net: Spatial-Temporal Architecture For Medical Image Segmentation - Radiation therapy tries to maximize the effect of radiation on the tumor and minimize its influence on adjacent tissues. However, it highly depends on the accuracy of the tumor segmentation on the planning radiography images. Tumor contouring today is carried out exclusively with the significant contribution of medical specialists which is a tedious, time-demanding, and expensive task. Further, it is prone to the inter-/intra-observer variation that can affect the reliability of the outcome. Existing methods for automatic tumor segmentation can reduce the influence of these factors, but are not completely reliable and leave a lot of room for improvement. In this work, we exploit Spatio-temporal information from the longitudinal CT scans to improve the deep neural network for tumor segmentation. For this purpose, we devise a novel volumetric Spatio-temporal memory network, Butterfly-Net, which stores the previous scan information and reads for the segmentation at the target time point. Moreover, the effect of
